Strong performance across all divisions and constant innovation has led to Diamond Electronics Limited scooping the prestigious East Cheshire Chamber Business of the Year award 2013.  Continual focussed team work has resulted in some fantastic results over the last twelve months despite difficult economic Global trading conditions.  Diamond has risen to the challenge of coming out of the recession not just fighting but winning, suffering no job losses yet achieving a 100% profit growth. Effectively the company has doubled in size in three years.

On receiving the award Darren Hesketh, Managing Director commented "The title is justified not just in recognition of the company growth, but as a reward for the staff themselves who are incredibly supportive of the board and give 100% each and every day to ensure the success of the business."

He added "All of this from a business which constantly strives to support the local community and to provide employment and training opportunities for young people and those seeking jobs within the region. We are absolutely thrilled that our on going growth and performance has been recognised. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers past and present for their continued support of Diamond Electronics Limited."

The LED Lighting division was the other success story of the night.  Acknowledged as runner up in the Small Business of the Year category, the division was established in 2008 from a nil turnover and grew to £1m during 2012.  Due to rapid growth the business became a separate limited company on 1st January 2013 and in February moved to a modern warehouse forming part of a local regeneration project.  Darren Spencer, Director commented "Based on our growth forecasts for 2013 we expect sales of our products to save users an estimated £3m on energy bills.  We will strive to develop our strong brand, focus on customer support and product innovation."
