LCD modules in character and graphic formats

Diamonds range of standard LCD Modules offers designers the option of using alphanumeric characters or software generated graphics to enhance their product's HMI.
LCD modules can be supplied in Chip on Glass (COG), Chip on Tab (TAB) or simple PCB technology and can include backlighting from either LED, CCFL or EL backlight modules
Many regularly used LCD modules are available from stock and sample requirements can be supplied within a short lead-time.
Character LCD Modules
Character LCD modules are available in formats from 8x2 to 40x4 characters, in most industry standard configurations. Interfacing is via the universal HD44780 controller which can be supplied with a range of font options (contact sales desk for more info.)
Character LCD module key features:
* TN or STN fluid
* Temperature ranges: Standard 0 to 50 C, or Extended -20 +70 C
* Backlighting - EL or LED according to model
* Backlight colour options
* Positive or negative display mode
* 6.00, 12.00 view options

Graphic LCD Modules
Graphic LCD modules give users more flexibility in displaying both text and graphical data on their display. Resolutions range from 80x32 to 640x480 dots with many modules having onboard controllers for simplified addressing.
Graphic LCD module key features:
* EL, CCFL or LED backlights
* Green/Yellow, Blue and silver display modes
* Enhanced black/white modes
* Extra wide temperature versions -30 - +80 degrees
* Touch screens
* QVGA displays with onboard controller
