Obsolescence Management

Whether as a result of ongoing product development or as a way of maximising revenues from their fabrication facilities, manufacturers within the electronics industry are constantly reviewing their product ranges and making parts obsolete.

Even with well publicised “Last time buys” etc. many OEMs and their appointed CEMs can encounter issues in managing product life cycles and as such need support to ensure the minimum disruption to their manufacturing process.

With extensive market knowledge and awareness Diamond Electronics is able to help customers navigate a path through any forthcoming obsolescence issues and steer them towards a sustainable sourcing solution. Our obsolescence management service is available for a predetermined period of time, or as an ongoing service.

In addition to using our partner network to locate stock of difficult to source parts we will also develop consigned stocking agreements based on agreed criteria. We then aim to support ongoing product development by seeking alternative components either via manufacturer migration paths or from our teams detailed product knowledge.
